Hospital visit 1

Today I needed to figure out what was going on. I had had contractions for about 6 hours last night and I didnt know if my water had broken and was slowly leaking, so even though I wasn't in a whole lot of pain anymore Daniel and I went in to the hospital. I had to answer a ton of questions, sign some paperwork, give them a urine sample, and let them do whatever else they needed to to try to tell me what was going on.
One lady came into the room, I dont think she was a nurse but may have been one in training, and she was saying that Landon was being sassy. She was like you're going to have to pinch his cheeks for me when he comes out, because she was having the hardest time keeping his heart rate. His heart rate kept going and jumping over to mine so they couldn't get a steady reading. So once the nurse came in she got his heartrate right away. He was around 155-160 which is pretty high for him because usually he's somewhere in the 140's. He had the hiccups so whenever he would have one his heartbeat would be louder.
So after everything we found out that my water hasn't broken yet but I am in the early stages of labor. Once my contractions start coming more then we need to go back into the hospital, which will probably be tonight. The nurse was predicting that he will come in the next 24 to 48 hours. I am now at about 3 1/2 cms which means that I progressed about 1/2 cm. from wednesday. My contractions have been coming and going but they aren't frequent enough for me to have Daniel take me back.
Daniel was really great today. We were at the hospital for probably 1 1/2 hours or so and I knew he was hungry because he hadn't eaten since about 5:30 this morning. I tried to get him to leave so he could go get something to eat since nothing was really happening but he told me that he wasn't going to leave my side....and then flashed me a smile.
All in all I would say things are going pretty well. I am waiting for my contractions to become more frequent but I think and hope we will have our little boy tomorrow. Please pray that everything goes smoothly.
