We welcome our sweet angel Landon!!!!

Friday night I was predicting that I was going to have even more contractions. My contractions would pick up during the night when I would need to sleep. Daniel and I had turned on Anger Management for a little movie night and both ended up dozing off to sleep only about 30 minutes into the movie. The pains just kept coming so even though I had somewhat dozed off I was probably only about 1/2 asleep and kind of groaning with my contractions. They had started around 8 pm or so and Daniel and I decided to make some last stops. As we were in Walmart my contractions kept coming. I mentioned that night, as we were driving in the car, 'tomorrow night at this time we will most likely have our little boy'!
By about 1 am as the pains just kept coming on I said to Daniel that we better get to the hospital. We got our last minute things, got dressed and were off to the hospital, not knowing if they would admit me or if we would be sent home again since my water hadn't really broken. When we got into the hospital around 1:30 am they had me put a gown on and lay down as they started to check me. They proceeded to try to get a monitor on my contractions and Landon's heartbeat.
The heartbeat quickly became an issue but I did not think anything of it because I thought it was picking up my heart rate. I looked over at the screen and it was in the 70's then would jump to about 160. I just laid there as they continued to try to get a steady rate. Suddenly there were about 3 people in my room doing different things and one of the nurses said....well looks like you're going to have a baby today. It may have to be a c-section if this persists with the heart rate.
I soon was being taken up stairs to the labor and delivery room! None of the nurses or doctors that I had knew me personally...I say this because this next part of info is crazy cool, they put me in the one and only labor and delivery room that was decorated in my favorite photography- Kim Anderson! I tried doing things naturally but after they broke my water the contractions kept getting harder and harder. By 5 cms and about 8 am and after begging Daniel over what I should do, I was pretty much telling them to get me the epidural....NOW! By about 8:30 am I had the epidural and now I realize why they call those "lifesavers". I could not feel any pain at all. Pushing Landon out was a breeze and I cannot explain to you how easy it was. He was born 9 lbs. 2 oz. and 21.5 inches at 10:52 am.
Landon had to go into the NICU because of his irregular heartbeat. We trust that Jesus will pull him through and that he will be fine within the next few months because most babies born with an irregular heartbeat correct themselves within about 2 or 3 months. His colors are good and if I were not to say anything about his heartbeat you would never know. He is such an amazing baby! I am so in love with him. He hardly ever cries and is very easy to read. He just wants his mommy and daddy and we can't wait to get him home with us tomorrow.
I was discharged tonight. Daniel has been such an amazing husband and father and has been taking care of things at home so that I wouldn't have to worry too much about things once we get Landon home. He slept in an uncomfortable reclining chair in the hospital last night just because he didnt want to leave my side.
All in all please pray for our little boy. I wish you could all meet him...he is the most precious, special, cute little guy you could ever meet. He makes the cutest noses and we are such blessed family having him as our new addition.
