Happy Birthday Landon !!!
Dear Landon,
1 year ago, on a Friday, I was having painful contractions. I thought you would come today but you decided you wanted to stay inside my belly and come out on a Saturday. I am glad you did because the number 7 (March 7,2009) is such a perfect number. After 1 day of pain and contractions you made your entrance into the world at 10:52 am. As soon as they laid you on my chest I felt a flood of emotions come over me and daddy did too. We were so happy to see and hold our little boy for the first time.
As the months went by we had our challenges, first mommy had to figure out what was wrong with her breastfeeding. You were unable to get enough milk out and this made you very unhappy. I spent hours everyday holding you and not knowing why you were crying so much. Once I figured out the feeding problem you were much more content. I dont blame you! I dont like being hungry either!
It took us almost this whole first year to get a pretty good handle on sleeping but things are much better now. You dont feel like you need mommy all the time so you feel better about sleeping by yourself.
You have made me to proud to watch you grow from an itty bitty baby to a young boy! I love watching you try to walk around the house and then suddenly lose your balance and curplunk on your booty. You absolutely love your Zoe dog. You think that its fun to pull on her tail and pull on different parts of her head. It's kind of funny that she just sits there and let's you.
I love how much of a cuddler you have always been. You love it when mommy and daddy hold you and I love when you and I can take an afternoon nap together. You love on others and even gave your friend Trevor a hug and a kiss when you saw him the other day. You have so much love already for your family and friends. You are such a sweet boy!
I love you so so much Landon. You are the best son I couldve ever asked for. You get cuter and cuter every day and you absolutely mean the world to me. I have been so blessed by your life and so grateful that God gave you to me. Happy 1 year birthday sweetheart.
